Programs:
A Taste of Fairies - a telling of old favorites, some with a twist, served up with laughter and listener participation. Ages 7 and up
The Giggle Factory - Stories well-seasoned with smiles and role playing, available in two sizes: small (ages 2-8) and medium (ages 8-14)
Go Figure! Tales to Make You Think! These are “How did they do that?” stories to solve and include lively listener and teller participation. Ages 7 and up
Tales for the Midnight Hour - Eerie stories ranging from sill, not-so-scary to those a bit more shivery. Choices: Ages 4 to 9 and Ages 10 to Adult
Teeny-Tiny Tales - Classic stories for little ones including lots of action, songs, sound effects, and othe forms of participation. Ages 2-5
Meeting Jack: Tales from the Mountains - Stories with a mountain flavor including our old friend Jack. Laughter guaranteed! Ages 7 and up
Love Lines - Heart stirring stories, most with a good dose of humor. Teens through adult
Stories for Christmas, Valentine and Mother’s Day, Halloween, Fall Festival, Pioneer Days…
Stories for PTO, Family Nights, Celebrations, Church Suppers, Scouts, Summer Camps, Special Occasions, Private Parties…
Stories for Civic Organizations, Libraries, Birthdays, and whatever else can be imagined!
School Workshops:
Stories in the Classroom - An active, hands on workshop sharing ways to incorporate story telling in all aspects of the curriculum as well as ideas involving student tellers and their stories.
Take Heed and Read A lively, interactive collection of stories for jump-starting or re-charging reading success programs.
A Step in the WRITE Direction Storytelling with an under-current of writing ideas and helpful strategies. Great for second semester grade 3, grade 4, and grade 8, or any group concerned with improving writing skills.
Oh! I’m Telling! Students as Storytellers A 5-day classroom workshop that builds self-confidence and imparts skills students will use all their lives. (Studies show that student storytellers show measurable growth in reading and writing skills.)
HUH? How’d They Do That? A “figure it out” collection of stories that stretch imagination, sharpen memory and listening skills, and build community as students work together to “figure it out.”
Storytelling for Media Specialists This is the place it all began! Developing storytelling programs in and for the library-media center is a round peg in a round hole: a perfect fit! This action-filled workshop includes methods, resources and activities adaptable to any program or ambition.
General Workshops
Storytelling for Beginners - “I’d love to do what you do, but how do I get started?” This workshop covers it all: resources, story development, venues, stage fright, caring for your audience and more.
What’s So Funny? - Everyone loves a funny story - or a funny storyteller - or a story with funny characters - or just a good laugh. This workshop offers strategies and tips for adding humor to your story or your presentation or both. Easy as picking ticks off a bald dog - and lots more fun!
Creative Soup - Fire up the creative juices! Think outside the box (and the circle and the triangle too). Discover new ways to look at old stories, new ways to brainstorm story ideas, and resources to help you cook up something new!
Critquing - Gentle coaching for anyone in the storytelling/writing field.
