Agnes and Phil
Agnes and Phil, a pair of white, athletic socks, enjoy the company of the argyles, the silk dress socks, and the everyday blue, green, and brown socks who inhabit Howard Brumstiller’s sock drawer. The socks lay there in the drawer, curled around their mates, and talk to each other. They tell stories. Tell about places they’d been on their day out, movies they watched while propped up on the coffee table, and horror stories of times they’d been mismatched and left for days, sometimes weeks, wrapped around a sock they barely knew.
Agnes and Phil lose each other, but life doesn’t end when Agnes thinks it does.
